Join Helen Stephens from Dead Puppet Society in a fun and hands on workshop to design and construct your very own table-top puppet. Use the Barbara Cleveland Thinking Business exhibition as your inspiration for movement and communication.
In this workshop you’ll learn the basics behind designing animated puppet characters using readily available materials to exquisite effect. Then explore the principles of puppet manipulation to animate and bring your character to life!
The Dead Puppet Society is an Australian based production house and design company with international reach. They create deeply imaginative visual theatre, public art and sculpture, combining old school craftsmanship with cutting edge technology.
The workshops are suitable for children aged 9-12.
