Join us at The Condensery for a morning with Naomi McKenzie, a local Toogoolawah artist who has been processing her own film for over 20 years.
Starting with a brief artist talk with Gallery Curator, Madeline Brewer on the development of her exhibition Ex Tenebris Lux, we will join Naomi McKenzie for a photo walk around The Condensery’s grounds.
Participants will have the opportunity to take their own pictures on supplied ‘point and shoot’ film cameras. Following this walk, we will watch along as Naomi McKenzie develops the film onsite, using traditional black and white developing processes; including loading film in the dark and effecting chemical reactions that render a latent image into a negative that can then be scanned and printed.
Please bring a hat and wear enclosed shoes. All materials and refreshments will be provided.
