  • FREE of cost.
  • No camera or experience required.
  • Open to high school students aged 12+.

Note: Spaces are limited, please register your child below.

Please contact The Condensery’s Gallery Curator should you have any questions.

A Portrait of You

Let’s get to know each other and find out why we love photography! In this first week we will cover off on the basics, including answering the question: ‘what is photography?’. We will chat about our interests and set goals for the next 10 weeks as budding photographers.

No classes this week due to ANZAC Public Holiday.

The Camera and The Lens

Naomi McKenzie will bring in an array of fascinating and different cameras and lenses that we can play with, talk about and shoot with.

Let there be Light

In this session we talk about everything light and why it’s so important to photography. We will cover exposure, ISO, grey scale and metering.

Inside the Frame

This week we cover composition, lighting and explore different genres. Through this, we experiment with storytelling and communicating.

Shake it like a Polaroid Picture

Get to know the fun world of Polaroids and Instant Cameras!

Film Isn’t Dead

What is film, how is it different and why has it endured through generations?!

One Hour Photo

Let’s develop some film together and find out what happens inside a darkroom.

The Digital World

Where did digital photography start and where we are now? Together we will take digital pictures, but also try our hand at editing and printing.

Join us in this final session as we showcase the photographs our students have taken and reflect on the past term.
